Academics and scholars are increasingly publishing their research direct to the Web instead of waiting months for their research to show up as an article in a print journal. If you have reviewed the library’s handout on Evaluating Internet Resources, you’ll remember that university and college websites (identified with the an address ending with .edu) can be good places to find reports and faculty research papers. Taking this strategy one step further, you can now search the institutional repositories of colleges, universities, and research centers around the globe at the Registry of Open Access Repositories. Use the content search to search for your topic. Currently, there are 221 depositories in the U.S. included in the registry.
